Class FAQ

What’s the difference between a specialty class and a water fitness class?

Our specialty classes are limited to just 3-4 students. These small group classes require additional certifications or licenses to teach (like Aqua Yoga, SUP FIT, SUP YOGA, S’WET, and ABS-Combat) or are more therapeutic in nature (such as Hard Core Balance and Aqua Hips & Knees). We currently offer 9 specialty classes per week & hope to expand these offerings in 2024.

Our other water fitness classes are your more “typical” classes, like Wavemakers, Aqua HIIT, and Aqua Boot Camp. These classes can accommodate 8-10 clients and have a larger deep water component than the specialty classes. We currently offer 14 water fitness classes per week.

Do I have to sign up for 10 classes to get the 10-class package price?

No. Your package is valid for 2 months, so you may split up the 10 classes any way you want over the 2 months.

Do I can use the same package for different classes?

Yes. Your water fitness class package can be used for any of our general water fitness classes (Boot Camp, Aqua HIIT, etc.). Your specialty class package can be used for any combination of the specialty classes (S’WET, Yoga, etc.).

Do I have to pre-pay? Mindbody keeps prompting me to pay…

No, you do not have to pre-pay.

  • On the website, Mindbody will give you the option to make a reservation or to register as unpaid. We recommend registering as unpaid for all of the classes you want to take. You can pay later (via the website’s online store, the app, or in person). TIP: the website also gives you the option to “make a recurring reservation” if you want to sign up for multiple classes at the same time. Be sure to select “make an unpaid recurring reservation” to avoid potential payment issues.

  • On the app, you can also register for classes without paying - just hit “book.” If you prefer to pay online, go to “view pricing,” and select specialty classes or water fitness classes for your payment options.

What’s the best class for someone who is just starting out?

If you’re new to water fitness, you may want to try one of the smaller specialty classes like Hard Core Balance on Tuesdays at 2pm or Aqua Yoga. If you are comfortable in deep water and have some deep water exercise experience, you might be ready for Wavemakers.
