Pool Rules & Regulations

The lifeguard on duty shall enforce the following rules to ensure a safe pool environment:

  • All patrons must rinse off prior to entering the pool. Showers should be limited to five minutes or less.

  • No lotions, deodorants, perfumes, or make-up may be applied prior to entry into the pool. Long hair must be tied back and/or covered with a bathing cap.

  • Walkways on the pool deck should remain clear at all times, with personal belongings stored on hooks or in cubbies. Anderson Aquatics is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items.

  • If water shoes are to be worn, patrons must change into clean shoes at the aquatic center to avoid tracking dirt and contaminants into the pool.

  • If assistance is needed with dressing, showering, or mobility, clients must bring a caregiver.

  • No jewelry, gum, bandaids, or food are allowed in the pool. Glass is not permitted on the pool deck.

  • Patrons under the influence of alcohol or drugs may not enter the pool.

  • Minors under the age of 18 may not attend open pool or group classes.

  • No running on the pool deck.

  • Patrons may not enter the pool until directed to do so by the lifeguard on duty.

  • No diving, horseplay, dunking, or splashing other patrons. Spitting, spouting water, blowing nose, or discharging bodily waste in the pool is strictly prohibited.

  • Prolonged swimming underwater and breath holding is not permitted. Hyperventilating, repeated breath holding (static or while swimming), or hypoxic training is not allowed.

  • Lap swimming is not allowed. All swimmers must use a swim tether.

  • Clients with open sores, cuts, or blisters may not enter the pool unless cleared by a physician and covered by a bio-occlusive dressing.

  • Clients with signs/symptoms of an active infection of any type (skin, throat, influenza, UTI, gastro-intestinal, etc.) may not use the pool.

  • Individuals with known bowel incontinence may not use the pool. Additionally, patrons may not use the pool for 14 days following a bout of diarrhea as recommended by the CDC.

  • The lifeguard on duty may change/add rules at their discretion. Owners reserve the right to refuse business to anyone.
